The man most directly responsible for this twaddle was Andy Gibson, who did
thus comment on Re: AMOS Is sloooow at GUI eh? on the night of 01-Oct-97:
-> BTW I also had a quick look at the Amos MUI proggy a while back and
-> found it intersting, to say the least. Let's piss all over Blitz users
-> with some great MUI/GUI Amos coded jobbies please :)
-> We'll show Amiga Format that Amos is still going strong and is well
-> capable of wb apps.
-> Do you think we would all be wasting our time if we all sent at least
-> one little GUI demo to AF to get the point across?
-> I'll be in if everyone else agrees?
-> All we really need is a proper AGA Ext now and we're laughing....
Hmm, I tried one MUI extension-type system a while back, and couldnt get it to
work at all, but I might try again soon.
What would be nice for MUI extension (super hint-hint) is an ultra-GUI creator
(like gadtoolsbox, but with all the major capabilities a MUI application can
display) so we can make even more powerfull functions.
I might try it once again when I finish my mailinglist manager.
